Quick and Cheap Chicken Soup Recipe

When it comes to cooking, I like simple and easy things to cook. The faster I get to eat it, the better.  The less money I put into it...even better! When ever I'm watching my figure. I do not eat a lot of carbs,  my weakness.  I go on a high protein diet.  When you lack carbs in your diet, you tend to get hungry a lot quicker.  At least for me it does, and that day was no exception.  So I wanted to cook something warm and hearty.  To get the satisfying full feeling that I was not getting for a long extended time period.  That feeling of wanting to get full, I end up making some kind of soup or stew. I probably have over 5 different Chicken Soup recipes under my belt, but those take some time to cook.  The night before, we shopped at Trader Joes, so I went to the kitchen to see what I can come up with. After seeing what we had, this is what I came up with:

Front Packaging

Add caption

1. Cut the Chicken Breast into big bite size pieces.  2. Cook Pieces of Chicken Breast in EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) about 2 TBS (tablespoon)
3. Cover with lid to Cook Faster. This also makes the chicken moist.

4. Add Asian Vegetable Stir Fry Mix into the pot.

5. Saute and Continuously stir the vegetable and chicken together until the vegetables are al dente (not too raw yet not over cooked)

1 Quart of Chicken Stock

6. Pour whole container of stock into the pot. Bring it up to a boil and Stir and Mix ingredients together into a nice harmony.
7. With a ladle or a big spoon scoop cooked veggies and chicken into a bowl. Add your choice of seasoning.

Yum! Eat like this!

Eat with Broth.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you enjoyed, learn something, or at least got something out of it.

Until Next time, Stay Healthy and Fabulous!

Thursday Thoughts: Gift Giving

As usual, I hear everyone complain that gift giving is impersonal, if you get a gift card or money! What the Hell? Just be happy that someone thought of you and gave your ungrateful ass something! I really hate the Holidays lately because majority of people are celebrating it for the wrong reasons.  Now its just another day where people have the reason to bitch, bitch and more bitch.

Here's my two cents on gift giving...MONEY, MONEY, MONEY! I am the worst gift-er giver ever. Okay, let me take that back. I am the best gift giver, when I DO give a gift. But I suck on giving a gift on my free will. Understand? No, okay. So in a non-selfish way, I just don't think of giving a gift to someone unless there are reasons to. I don't stop and think to myself and say "Who should I give a gift to, today"?

I'm gonna be really REAL with you right now, even though I am really truthful and honest as often as I possibly can (which gets me in trouble sometimes).  Like, don't ask if you can't handle Here are the only time I go out of my way and get something for you. *clears throat...wait for it.

I only give a gift when me or my kids are invited to a birthday party, bridal/baby shower, and CHRISTMAS. If you are under 18 yrs old, majority of the time you will get $10-$20 with a card. Or you will get something that you asked for or something related to the theme of your birthday party.  i.e. If I see a elmo will most likely see a Elmo character toy. So Beware what you send me. lol.

If you are over 18 yrs old, you will get $20+ or a giftcard. with a card. It depends on how much I like you. Like, if you are my sister, I will give you more than $20 are not just a person to me. Best friends!! Duh! Majority of the time, I take out my sisters to lunch or dinner on their birthdays, usually before or after since they are so incredibly busy all the time. *tear.  We usually go shopping somewhere and they would see something and I will get them something.

One time, my oldest sister saw a Chi hair straightener and oh before I go on, this is like month or 2 before her birthday. I got it for her. And near the register, I always tell them "So this is for your birthday, just in case I".

This other time, because we were talking/joking about it. I gave a friend at the time a rabbit vibrator for her birthday. Yes, the one you saw and heard about in 'Sex in the City'. I don't know if she use or still has it but at the was something me and another person pitched in to get for her. Its more of a gag gift, maybe a neccessity? lol. But if she uses it, bonus! I personally do not own any such technology so that was my very first and last purchase. EVER. Okay, over share.

In semi-rare occasions, I do give gifts like I stated above. BUT I usually give you money or gift cards. Why? Because I rather you pick out the thing(s) you want, rather than me indecisively choose something you don't need or already have. If you are disappointed, that's on you. Why? because I really thought of you at the time of when I had to get in the car and drive to the ATM and Hallmark (or CVS, Walgreens, or Target) to give you a gift that I have a choice to give or not to give. I really do think of your benefit on the gift I give you. Its not impersonal. I give it a lot of thought and thought that this route works for the best.

Well, I don't know when my next post will be but if after Christmas,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Friday Favorites: 1800Contacts and FreshLook Colorblends Review

Ever since I was in 4th grade, I needed glasses. I think it was because I always wore my classmate, Teri's glasses. In all seriousness, I really thought so because we ended up having the same prescription! I really do not remember when I started getting contacts, but it wasn't really until I got little bit older. I think I really did start in 6th grade, when I started playing sports.

20 years later, I still need them. Last week I was stretching thin with my very last pair of contacts that I bought from my optometrist's office store at Lenscrafters. I hate Lenscrafters but I love the eye doctor at this particular location. :). Anyways, I really needed new contacts, because the ones I was wearing was sticking to my eyeballs literally. I think its because of all the crying I have been doing while watching Korean dramas. My recent drama is 'My Fair Lady'. I just finished 'Scent of a Woman'.  Not to go off topic, but these two are a 'MUST SEE'. They are not my favorites but probably my TOP 10!

So I wanted contacts quick! If I call Lenscrafters, I would have to wait 7 days for them, and I will also have to go pick them up. Having that in mind, I gave in to the ridiculous commercials they always air on TV. I went to my computer and logged onto I am so happy that I did. Their service was so outstanding. It was like 5 minutes to order via internet, since I got to media text them my prescription with my iPhone 4s.  I didn't have to pay tax or shipping, which I always go for when I buy things online.  And I got my contacts in 3 days!! Did I say I didnt have to pay shipping? Booyah!

The box that it came in, clean and not dented ;P

I wear Freshlook Colorblends because I have to. They work well with my astigmatism, and the colors of the contacts blend well with my actual eye color. Some people have asked me if my green contacts are my real eye color. No lie. I look at them strangely but I quickly remember that I do have color contacts:).

Seriously, I have to wear contacts or glasses to see. Why not accessorize with contacts?? I literally have to poke my eyes everyday, why not put something fun in my eyes instead of just clear boring contacts? Just like hair, I like to change up my eye color too.

Freshlook Colorblends are so much better than circle lenses. Oh I would wear circle lenses in a hot second if it is proven to be healthy for your eyes, but it isn't. I already have a thin lining of the eye sockets so I don't ever play around with my eyes. So please try these babies out, I care about your eyes. Circle lenses look absolutely amazing but you don't know what they will do to your eyes in the future.  If you do wear them, just make sure its once in a while and not everyday.

Anyways, have a great weekend everyone and Ill see your blogs soon!!

Makeover Mondays :Loreal Paris Feria DIY dye kits

Box Dyed w/ Salon Highlights (whole head)
I have dyed my hair by myself since I was 8th grade. I believe I was around 13 at the time.  The very first dye kit I used was Clairol's Nice and Easy. Its the one with Ammonia and Lead in it. Things that the scientists found out later on.  Remember, this is around 1995. lol. It took forever to grow out my hair to cut it off. I dyed my hair a shade lighter but I looked like a skunk because the previous color job of blue black I dyed before.
Boxed Dyed with 1/2 head of salon highlights
As years gone by, the hair dyeing kits got better and by experimenting with few brands here and there. I have found a brand that I can rely on. The brand is L'oreal Paris Feria. For $2-3 dollars more, you really do get your moneys worth. I have used platinum blonde to Blackest Black and it has never failed me. I always have used the Permanent Level, so I don't have to dye my hair continuously.  For being a child or being a student, I didn't have the luxury to dye my hair at a professional salon all the time.

<--------To save money, I would dye my hair to a golden brown  and get highlights at a local salon at my hometown. I chose this color because this model was probably the only Asian Model for L'Oreal and she didn't have black When I moved to the bay area, I got a big reality check. The Salons around these parts want 2 to 3 times more than what I would pay around my hometown parents house. It is pretty ridiculous, because I have had my hair done at a high end salon, and I did not like the results at all. What I hate the most, is that the colorist act like they know what they are talking about, but what they do is making my hair look absolutely worse than before. Thinking, the more money I spend the better look of my hair? Wrong! Dead wrong.
So after spending around $1000 on colorists...about $120 a process in one year, I threw my hands up. I told my self that, if anybody is going to fuck up my hair again, It will be me. I can't hate myself forever, right? lol.  So I got on the computer to search for great temporary boxed dye kits around. The one that end up buying was THIS:

Fitness Friday

 Hi Everyone,

I went to my parents house this week, hence therefore the lack of posts than usual. I didn't workout at all except walking all around a small town that I grew up in.  I think I lost a pound, because I got my hair trimmed and lost water weight from sweating. Sorry for the Late post...but its better late than never.

This week I got a new jogger. I took the kids for walks with

The hardest part was the jogger doesn't have a swivel wheel so I had to lift the front wheels if I wanted to turn. It gets a bit annoying but it rides really smooth and fast :).

My greatest accomplishment this week was drinking only half a alcoholic drink when I went out with some friends.

Okay, I felt guilty because I ate more than 4 homemade tacos on Taco Tuesdays at my moms. I also ate a Choco Taco.

Next week I'm gonna try Insanity!
