What I Ate Wednesday: Kimchi Soup Recipes

Hello My Loves!!

I think I know the jest of all the main followers that come to my blog on every post.  Check them out on the right side of my blog. I thank you for your support. With my thanks, I made you some kimchi soup. lol. Just kidding. I made this sometime in February and its taking me now to post it. But I do not kid about my thanks to you for coming back to my silly blog to get a chuckle or two. But I dont know how you will laugh about me cooking soup. Maybe make fun of my knife skills or how easy this recipe is to blog here. But hey we are all friends here. So judge me.

I cook this because I am Korean. No, because I love Korean food. No, because I was cold. No, because I wanted to be healthy and eat tofu. No, because I wanted to show off my cooking skills on Instagram. Okay okay, maybe it was all the above. Im the queen here in my lil place and I rule as I please.

Every time, you see kimchi...think of me. If you attempt to cook this bowl of deliciousness...you know what to do...thank me! If you hate this recipe, dont hate me...give the credit to this woman! Her name is Maangchi. She is a Korean Lady that has videos on YouTube and Oh, I love her. Without further ado, My take on her Kimchiguk (Kimchi Soup) recipe.

The Ingredients :P
Half of Pound of Pork Shoulder

Side Note: Ive never been a pork person, unless its BBQ ribs. I didnt like the pork flavor for this soup...weird after taste. I will use Beef or Seafood next time I cook this!

THE kimchi
Side Note: This kimchi SUCKS. Unless you are an American/Foreigner and cant taste the difference in kimchi...STICK TO YOUR FAVORITE KIMCHI!! Good Kimchi = Good Soup. Duh.

Let the COOK OFF begin:

Add 2 cups of GOOD kimchi in Pot.

Cut 1/2 lb Pork in Cubes and Put in Pot.
Add 2 Tbsp of Fermented Pepper Paste.
Lil Dab will do ya.
Add 5 cups of water.
1 Cup X 5 = 5 Cups

Now you can't say that I never taught you math. :)

Its weird to take pictures of yourself pouring water more than once.
Cook for 30 minutes and bring to a boil. On high heat.
TOFU is good for YOU.

How I cut tofu for soup:

Hortizontally
Vertically
Bite Size
NOMNOMNOMilicous
Put tofu in Pot
On Medium heat...cook for 10 minutes.

Cut up and Add 2 stalk of green onions
Smells F Bomb!
TaDa #nofilterbitches #sorrynotsorry
Well, keeping the outtro short. I hope your mouth watered a little, mine sure did.... A LOT. After my carb free detox, I am going to attempt to make Jjajangmyeon. It's Korean noodles with black bean sauce. Its called and spelled in many different ways. but this is what Maangchi wrote. Check her YouTube out. Her recipes are fairly easy and she's really sweet to watch.

Until Next time, Stay Healthy and Fabulous. If not, than that's just Ridiculous.

okay okay enough of the rhyming, I hope you keep on coming....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  14. I love kimichi! Most american brought versions taste nasty in my opinion and I usually end up getting my kimichi from a little asian store near my home!

That stew looks delicious! I love tofu and I always put a lot into my soups! (it adds protein too haha!)

ANYWAYY! That really looks delicious Mrs.Lee! I couldn't help but think how much my braces would stain from the soup, but in two years I'll happily cook this any day! haha That tofu looks a lot like a type of cheese we have here, actually they look pretty identical to me!I have never tried tofu, so I woudn't know what to expect! Keep it up with the food post, I love them! :) xoxo
